The word “big” is but a mere understatement when it comes to adjectives to describe the colossal summer that trendy ready-to-drink brand Big Sipz put together this year.

Between bringing the stars down to earth for festival-style concerts and raising the bar both literally and figuratively, Big Sipz’s seasonal highlight reel truly developed into a whole movie before our eyes. As a matter of fact, in the latest cut scene from Big Sipz’s recent motion-picture-moves, the starring role goes to none other than the all-new “Blast Off Blue” flavor.

In case you were unaware, Big Sipz took the marketing rollout of the newest addition to their beverage lineup to the next level by literally launching the fledgling flavor from the stratosphere.

“Big Sipz has always been about going big, Blast Off Blue gave us an opportunity to bring that mentality to life in a way consumers wouldn’t expect,” said Joey Parris, CMO at Patco Brands.

Not only does the literal launch serve as one small step for Big Sipz’s wine-based cocktails, it also represents a cultural crescendo of sorts.

In collaboration with near-space flight specialists Filmed in Space, Big Sipz made it their mission to send a cosmic-coated cup of Blast Off Blue soaring into the stratosphere. With 16% ABV, the brand is making one thing clear via the launch—that no other wine-based cocktail flies higher.

“Sending the product to the edge of space wasn’t just about making noise around a new flavor,” Parris said. “This was about creating a moment people would want to engage with and remember.”

Dirtbag Clothing founders Cole Steiner and Cenzo Hayes also elevated the interstellar-skimming flight to new heights with a friendly competition, turning the launch into a race to see who could send Big Sipz into orbit first. The duo, known for their massive digital following and record-breaking livestreams, continue to push the limits of creator-led culture with a launch that’s truly out of this world.

“As we continue to grow Big Sipz, we’re focused on finding unexpected ways to build the brand, challenge the category and keep consumers excited about what we do next,” Parris added.

True to Parris’s words, Big Sipz represented for Patco Brands in surprising spaces all summer long ahead of the Blast Off Blue launch. Big Sipz also served as a sponsor for numerous free concerts as part of The Happy Group’s staggering lineup this summer, which included the star-studded Cali Love concert series, hosted by radio legend Big Boy at Pershing Square in DTLA. In addition to bringing out artists such as Xzibit, The Game, Too $hort, Soulja Boy, Young Joc, Paul Wall and many more across four iterations of the concert running between mid-July and late August, the series successfully morphed into the biggest in the world.

And that’s not all. Big Sipz has also kept the party going into the fall and served as the dedicated sponsor at events such as the Latino Carnaval, Funk Fest, Tropical Festival, Banda Fest and more throughout October.

Not to mention, Big Sipz has also teamed up with College Weekly, Tailgreeter and Yuengling for five massive tailgates at five schools across the country through November as college football continues to heat up.
