Compton’s newest pop-star Roddy Ricch finally delivers the highly anticipated visual for “The Box”. While there was pressure to create a classic video to his #1 charting Billboard single, in today’s climate we would’ve accepted a bland video with lots of shiny objects and beautiful, less than fully clothed women peppered throughout. However, Roddy’s self directed visual looked outside the preverbal box. It begins with an intense high speed drag race Fast & Furious style. Roddy then completes a half-court dunk during a basketball game, celebrates by lying in a pool full of Actavis, runs for president, works in the trap, robs a huge safe, works at UPS, and ends up in a an art gallery in a tiny display case. Eventful to say the least.
